Mohamed El Bashir

Mohamed El Bashir, from Sudan is the President of Sudan Internet Society and .SD Registry, he is considered a pioneer in promoting and introducing Internet services in Sudan .El Bashir has been involved in ICANN since 2001, he is a member of the ccNSO and actively working on IDN Policies as a member of ICANN IDN TLD Committee and ICANN President's Advisory Committee on IDN.

El Bashir is actively involved in different pan-African projects in areas related to ICT for Development, ccTLDs registry operations, eLearning and Open Educational Resources . He is the Vice President for Communications and out-reach of AfTLD (Africa TLD Organization: http://www.aftld.org).

El Bashir holds a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from the American University in London.
