ICANN | 2009 Annual Report Published

The 2009 Annual Report [PDF, 5.7M] for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has been published online today. As you can see, it is changed only incrementally from last year's and is somewhat slimmed down. Publishing an annual report is part of ICANN's practice over the last several years, and an explicit commitment made in the Affirmation of Commitments signed in September 2009.

New for this year:

The report covers high-level accomplishments of IANA, Community Policy work, and Security, as opposed to an ICANN staff, unit-by-unit review
A three-page overview of actual outcomes compared with Operating Plan objectives; this is intended to provide the community a summary view of achievement of the plan
