ICANN Opens Comment Period on NeuStar Amendment to Implement Approved Registry Service
ICANN is opening a comment period on the proposed amendment [PDF, 25K] to implement the new registry service proposed by NeuStar to offer Bulk Transfer After Partial Portfolio Acquisition (BTAPPA) to consenting registrars in the circumstance where one ICANN-accredited registrar purchases, by means of a stock or asset purchase, merger or similar transaction, a portion but not all, of another ICANN-accredited registrar’s domain name portfolio in the .BIZ top-level domain.

Extension of Comment Period on Telnic Proposal
On 11 May 2007, ICANN opened a public comment period on a proposal from Telnic Ltd. to amend the terms in the .TEL Registry Agreement concerning the public display of Whois information, www.icann.org/announcements/announcement-11may07.htm. In accordance with requests, ICANN is extending the public comment period through 28 June 2007.

ICANN has announced an accountability framework with the country code top level domain (ccTLD) manager for .sv, delegated to SVNet in 1994, a not-for-profit organization based in El Salvador.

Steve Antonoff joined ICANN as Director of Human Resources in March 2007. In this capacity Steve is responsible for the global human capital activities of the organization with a particular emphasis on performance management, sourcing qualified individuals to join the ICANN team, and developing efficiencies in process and procedure.
Steve’s previous experience includes senior level Human Resources positions with such diverse organizations as Hyundai Motor America, LA Gear, QANTAS Airways, and Mercury Air Group. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from Hofstra University (Hempstead, New York), an MBA in Accounting from New York University, and attended law school at Seton Hall University Law School (Newark, New Jersey).
